The 1880 British are equipped with heliographs (flashing mirrors on tripods) and signalling lamps to convey messages from mountain top to mountain top.
The modern British are using what one described as 'The Nikon.'
This work was shown at Tate Modern at 2011 which makes it one of the first solo (duo?) shows they ever gave to a photographer.
